About Thomas Winston Thorpe

From a very early age, I have been fascinated by computers, technology, information delivery and information architecture. At that early of an age, I really did not know what this stuff was; all I knew was that I could never get enough of my Apple IIe!

As time went by, I made it my passion to learn all I could about computers and the way that people use them. In high school, I studied computers and art. Any classes that had anything to do with either of the two found a home at the top of my schedule. Digital art and design became my focus and I was eager to learn how to use computers to make attractive works of art. In college, I studied Psychology, so I could learn more about the way people learn, process and digest information. I did this so that I could teach people how to use these magnificent machines. While in college, I discovered the Internet. I was completely blown away by how easy it was for people to post and retrieve information from this wonderful invention. I thought that, in time, there would be no better way for people to get information and to learn.

In my professional career, I have taken all of my skills and used them to bring the world and everything in it to the Web. Building Web sites, creating intriguing graphics and providing on-line technical training has been my professional passion. In a very short time, these, somewhat disparate skills have gelled together into one convenient package... Me.

For the past ump-teen years, I have devoted my career to Web Design and Developement. I have used my skills and experience to build award winning Web sites for everyone from large universities to small non-profit clients. My portfolio shows my capabilities in building Web sites for education, big and small business, and non-profits.
